Already you have had a week to do nothing (soccer related). Now it is time to put things into gear the next few weeks.
We are meeting tonight to play again. This will be an every Tues. and Thurs. night thing for us. It is such a great opportunity to get some playing time in. The games are small sided, and everyone gets to play about equal time. Lace up your shoes and join us tonight. I have not heard the exact time, but we have been starting around 8:00 pm. Plan on getting there by then!

WE HAVE A NEW COACH!
I am so excited to announce that our new head coach will be Jammie Boyce! She is coming to us with lots of soccer experience, and will fill the role as head coach well. Coach Elger will be greatly missed, but I know he and his wife will be thankful for the great experiences that they are about to embark on. I know that this was a tough decision for them to make, mostly because of having to leave "his" team behind. Many of you are already familiar with Coach Boyce, so this will help with our transition. She will be coming to the remainder of our summer workouts, so introduce yourselves if you don't know her already.

Tuesday play time

**juggle for 1 minute...keep up with how many times the ball touches the ground
---after the minute is up do as many burpees as many times that the ball touched the ground
***do this for eight rounds and keep up with your total amount of burpees and your total time to complete. DON'T CHEAT YOURSELF!! You will either get better at juggling or burpees! Post to comments section.

workout #3
Sorry girls...I have been out of town since Friday with no access to a computer. I know that you have been anxiously awaiting a new workout. Here goes:
Do 10 rounds of the following:
Handstand hold (against a wall) for 20 seconds
bottom of squat hold for 20 seconds
**remember if you can not do a handstand then elevate your legs on a chair, or as high as you can get them for the 20 seconds
** bottom of squat means that you squats and your thigh should be parallel to the ground
**there is not rest between...you should come out of the handstand and go straight to the squat and then back into the handstand for all 10 rounds.
**let me know that you have completed this and if you got all 10 rounds!!

We are meeting tonight at 6:30 at South Habersham to play. Coach Wilson will be there to do a crossfit workout as the warm up. It has been a while, so I know you are going through withdrawals!! Make sure to bring lots of water...it is super hot! See you then!

Summer workout #1
Okay ladies you have had enough rest...time to get busy working out! We are going to post several workouts/ball skills this week for you to complete. Most will not take you too long to do, but will get you back into the swing of things, and keep your skills up. You need to try to do all the workouts posted, and remember after you complete your workout post it under the comments at the bottom of each blog entry. It would be helpful if you had a watch with a timer, or you can buy a stopwatch for less than $5. Most workouts are timed as you well know!
Do the following for time:
100 jumping jacks (make sure your hands go over your head at the top)
75 squats (make sure your weight stays on your heals and your thighs are parallel to the
ground)
50 sit-ups ( full sit-ups)
25 burpees (chest touches ground, jump up, hands clap over head)
**post your time and name under comments
